抄録 Backgrounds:H. pylori(HP)eradication is reported to reduce metachronous gastric cancer after ESD of early gastric cancer(EGC). On the other hand, sub-clinical multi-focal cancers might have already existed, and it is controversial if eradication reduces secondary cancers especially during early period after ESD. Methods:497 patients who underwent ESD and without known concomitant multiple cancers were included. The cumulative detection rate of secondary cancer after ESD was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared between patients with and without eradication. Results:The detection rate of secondary cancers did not differ between 2 groups during mean 28.1 months(Figure 1). Conclusion:HP eradication might not reduce secondary cancers at least within 2 years after ESD.
