抄録 Backgrounds：H. pylori（HP）eradication is reported to reduce metachronous gastric cancer after ESD of early gastric cancer（EGC）. On the other hand, sub-clinical multi-focal cancers might have already existed, and it is controversial if eradication reduces secondary cancers especially during early period after ESD. Methods：497 patients who underwent ESD and without known concomitant multiple cancers were included. The cumulative detection rate of secondary cancer after ESD was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared between patients with and without eradication. Results：The detection rate of secondary cancers did not differ between 2 groups during mean 28.1 months（Figure 1）. Conclusion：HP eradication might not reduce secondary cancers at least within 2 years after ESD.
